I am a writer and journalist with a passion for supporting women in pregnancy and childbirth. I believe every pregnant woman deserves support for the kind of birth she wants. Studies show that what makes the difference between a happy birth and an unhappy one is not the amount of pain relief a woman has, but how well prepared she is, and particularly how much she feels her wishes and feelings are respected.
If you are expecting a baby please explore my website to find out what I can do to help you. Please contact me about my HypnoBirthing® classes (group or private).
***I STILL HAVE SOME SPACE ON MY NEW CLASS BEGINNING 21 April 2008! SEE MY HYPNOBIRTHING PAGE FOR DETAILS!****
I teach HypnoBirthing® classes in the Shepherd's Bush area of West London but I can travel around London to offer you a private course in your home.
I am a highly experienced birth doula recognised by Doula UK. Due to my varied other commitments, sadly I can only book a small number of doula clients per year. It is, however, always worth contacting me in case I am available around the date your baby is expected. I can also offer private “birth confidence” sessions to prepare you and your birth companion for the big day.
An Oxford graduate and mother of four, I have spent most of my working life as a writer and national newspaper journalist, taking on varied roles including columnist and children's books reviewer. I'm now the author of three books on parenting and I am an experienced speaker at parents groups.
